Jubilant Welcome for Akhnoor MLA Mohan Lal as Supporters Celebrate His Return from Assembly Session

NC attempt to destabilize peace in J&K would not be tolerated: Mohan Lal

Akhnoor, Jammu & Kashmir: After the conclusion of an intense first session of the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly, MLA Mohan Lal returned to his constituency of Akhnoor on Saturday, where he was welcomed with great enthusiasm by his supporters. Hundreds of BJP workers gathered at the old bridge in Akhnoor, greeting their leader with floral garlands and celebratory drum beats.

The gathering echoed with chants of “Bharat Mata ki Jai,” and “Mohan Lal Zindabad,” as supporters cheered on the MLA. Mohan Lal was then escorted in an open vehicle, accompanied by a convoy of motorcycles and cars, to the BJP district office.

Sobha Ram, District Vice President, lauded Mohan Lal’s firm stance against Articles 370 and 35A in the Assembly, affirming that the entire constituency stands firmly behind their MLA and trusts him to continue being a true representative of the people.

During his address, MLA Mohan Lal strongly criticized the National Conference’s proposal demanding special status, which he stated was intended to mislead people. He emphasized that the National Conference aims to destabilize peace in Jammu and Kashmir, but reassured that such attempts would not be tolerated. “Under the visionary leadership of India’s esteemed Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Article 370 has been permanently abolished. It is not coming back,” said Lal, urging that some leaders in Kashmir are deceiving their people with false promises. He expressed disappointment at the partisan behavior of the Speaker and criticized the manner in which marshals had treated BJP legislators in the Assembly.

Senior leaders present at the event included DDC Bhalwal Bhushan Baral, District Working President Manmohan Singh, BJP District General Secretaries Kuldeep Sharma and Ajay Singh, District Vice President Sobha Ram, Jugal Dogra, Jagdish Bhagat (State In-Charge, SC Morcha), Dev Raj Bhagat (District President, SC Morcha), former BDC Neha Rajput, Akhnoor Mandal President Sham Singh, Pargwal Mandal President Bhupinder Singh, Ashok Sharma, Kuldeep Singh, Gullu Ram, Varinder Bhagat, Ganesh Dass as well as several village heads and panchayat representatives, joined by hundreds of enthusiastic supporters
