UDHAMPUR, NOVEMBER 16, 2024: A felicitation ceremony was organised
here today at Government College for Women (GCW) Udhampur to honour
the achievements of the achievers of Devika Zone Display Your Talent
(DYT) organised at Udhampur Campus of University of Jammu from
November 12-13, 2024.
Principal of the College Dr. Nalini Pathania felicitated the
participants of Display Your Talent competition of Devika Zone
(Udhampur and Reasi Districts) who participated excellently in One Act
Play, Mime, Mimicry, Skit, Folk Dance, Indian Group Song, Light Vocal
Solo, Western Group Song, Debate, Painting, Speech, Cartooning, Quiz
and Rangoli.
Dr. Nalini Pathania appreciated the tireless efforts of the Cultural
Committee, Literary Committee, DSW Committee and all the programmes
in-charge. She urged all the students of the college to participate in
such programmes in the near future and bring laurels to the
institution.
The students participated in all the different categories of
Inter-collegiate/Departmental competition under Display Your Talent
where the participants from GCW Udhampur won first prize in Folk
Dance, Western Group Song, One Act Play, Skit, Mime, Indian Group Song
and Painting.
In the individual category, Kanchan Jamwal won the first prize in
mimicry and Santoshi Devi won the second prize. Apart from this,
second and merit certificates were also given in light vocal solo.
Besides in Debate, quiz elocution, Rangoli and cartooning adjudged 3rd
prize respectively .
Others present on the occasion included Dr. Seema Sharma, Convener
Cultural Committee, Indu Kahjuria Associate Professor Chemistry, Dr.
Mool Raj Head Department Urdu, Prof. Swarna Devi DSW, Prof. Meenakshi
Jamwal, Dr. Shallu Jasrotia, Prof. Shama Rani, Prof. Yash Kumar
(Incharge Theatre Event), Ms. Anita Sharma, Ms. Surinder Kaur, Ms.
Karuna Majotra and Ms. Manisha Kumari.
