Jammu, 16 Nov 2024: The Department of National Security Studies, Central University of Jammu (CUJ) hosted its 2nd Alumni Meet under the leadership of Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Prof. Sanjeev Jain. The vibrant event was held under the aegis of Dean Students Welfare Prof. Ritu Bakshi. The Head of the Department, Dr. Neeta Rani welcomed the alumni.
In her address, she underscored the importance of a robust connection between the university and its alumni.The briefing about the event and the achievements of the university were highlighted by Dr. R. Sudhakar, Associate Professor of the department. He also shared the memories and experiences of their times with alumni.
The faculty of the department interacted with the alumni. The programme was followed by the introduction and sharing of journey and experiences by the alumni while reminiscing about the time spent in the department and how it has contributed in shaping their lives while inspiring the current students of the department.
In the cultural programme, a solo dance was performed by Akshara and group dance by Jazeena, Edwin and Susan, masters students of the department. The dance performances were followed by lively games and activities fostering camaraderie and connection between alumni and current students.
Further in the programme the alumni were felicitated by the faculty of the department. The vote of thanks was presented by Dr. Anuradha Choudhary, Assistant Professor of the department. The venue was decorated with the artistic creations by Ayushi, Soosan, Gurpreet and Epsita supported by other students and scholars of the department. The meet was an addition to the past memories of the alumni.
