CBC’s two day Outreach Programme on govt schemes concludes in Pulwama

Pulwama, November 13, 2024:

The two day Integrated Communication and Outreach Programme cum photo exhibition of the Central Bureau of Communication, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India, Field Office Anantnag, on various government schemes concluded at the Govt Degree College, Pulwama today.

Themed around Mission LiFE (Lifestyle for Environment), Poshan Abhiyaan, Swachhta Hi Seva, New Criminal Laws, and various other government schemes, the programme was aimed to raise awareness on sustainable development, cleanliness and hygiene, National Integration, importance of balanced nutrition and the new criminal laws.

During the two day programme, resource persons from the Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS), Health, Education, Agriculture, Horticulture, Wildlife, Fores, Social Forestry and Urban Development departments deliberated on topics like sustainable development, hygiene, balanced nutrition, sustainable agricultural practices and environmental preservation. The speakers also provided detailed insights into various government schemes and initiatives and advised participants to benefit from these initiatives.

Field Publicity Officer, CBC Anantnag Shahid Mohammad Lone, highlighted the role of CBC in field outreach for propagation of various government schemes. He said that this two day programme was aimed to raise awareness about the preservation of environment, hygiene and importance of balanced nutrition.

Naseer Ahmad Rather, Field Publicity Officer CBC Srinagar said that as a nodal department of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting for field outreach, CBC organises such outreach Programmes across the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir to disseminate information about key government schemes and policies. 

Theme based open quiz, painting and drawing competitions were held for the participants on both days, who were later awarded with mementoes and certificates.

The cultural troupes empanelled with CBC also press colourful skits and musical programmes focussing on the programme themes.

As part of CBC’s integrated communication strategy, a photo exhibition on Poshan Abhiyaan, Mission LiFE, Swachhta and New Criminal Laws was also been set up at the venue, which saw an enthusiastic participation of the students.

Stalls were also set up by various departments to showcase various initiatives and a wide range of services being provided to the people by them.

A large number of students, ICDS workers, health workers, beneficiaries of various schemes and local participants attended the two day programme.
